creating plugin GUI

Hi!
I'm thinking about creating a GUI for the sunbird plugin. How to do the 
GTK stuff shouldn't be a problem, but I don't know what functions 
multisync expects and how I should compile the code (that is, how to 
create my makefile). I've had a look at the makefiles for the evolution 
plugin, but i didn't quite get it.

So if anyone has time to explain or knows where i can find out more, 
it'd be highly appreciated!
