Sorry for the interruption, but this is what I've been waiting (lurking)

It's been a while since I checked, but I believe sdptool shows me about 
the same regarding obex and syncml.

I believe (95% sure) gnokii requires the serial profile.

Me too :)  I tried grabbing something off CVS, but it was horribly old. 
  Also, my primary workstation is fedora core 3, which I know is a tough 
target to build multisync for.

How does this (syncml) work?  Is the phone client or server or both. 
How will I run the other side?
