 It was a shoot in the dark.  Any how did you have your ipaq sync'ing
with the ftp option? and do/did contacts work? I'm running opie on a
zaurus and contacts don't sync right. 

 If I get some time tonight I'll try sync'ing with sftp, if it works
I'll let you know what I had to do.
