What is the palm-plugin conduit used for?

Hi there

I saw a conduit folder under plugins\palm-sync.
What is the conduit used for?

I tried to build the conduit but failed with error saying:
address-conduit.c:3:23: dbus/dbus.h: No such file or directroy
address-conduit.c:4:28: glib/dbus-glib.h: No such file or directroy
Where can I get these two files?
