One thing to check is the email address you're using to post. If your 
email is missing or not a valid format you get rejected right away. But 
you won't see it because that's between the NNTP service and the email 
service, not you.

I think someone else posted the other thing. Some mailing lists only 
accept posts from subscribed addresses.
