There seem to be several choices for a yenc decoder in various Linux distros. Have you searched for a yenc decoder? It's been a long time since I used one, but as I recall the process wasn't difficult. I can run a rough decode over the data by subtracting out the 0x2a that was added to the data characters as part of yEnc process and ignoring escapes.
