Re: Tungsten-E problems with gnome-pilot on Fedora 7

Looks familiar.  I too have a Te and have been using jpilot with
libusb (preferences set to "usb:" rather than "/dev/pilot")
rather than the ttyUSB stuff.  I sometimes use a USB to serial
converter (e.g., with a GPS), so the Palm can use ttyUSB0+1 or
ttyUSB1+2, so the ttyUSB mechanisms have never been reliable.
RH were slow to provide a version with libusb enabled, so I compiled
it myself, but I think this has now been done via an update.

Syncing  wothusb: was problematic at first but has been getting better
with new  udev and kernel versions.   Debian has had similar issues
with 2.6.22 kernels.
