Hi all, I understand that a Palm LifeDrive should sync "out of the box" with Mandriva 2007+later under libusb. I have tried under 2007, 2007.1 and now 2008 without success. In my desperation to use my business tool I reverted to the visor module under 2007.1 and it was very reliable. I have upgraded to Mandriva 2008 and I am otherwise pleased with it, but sync is really a major irritation. bash-3.2$ cat /proc/bus/usb/devices (snip) T: Bus=04 Lev=01 Prnt=01 Port=00 Cnt=01 Dev#= 13 Spd=480 MxCh= 0 D: Ver= 2.00 Cls=00(>ifc ) Sub=00 Prot=00 MxPS=64 #Cfgs= 1 P: Vendor=0830 ProdID=0061 Rev= 1.00 S: Manufacturer=palmOne, Inc. For some reason the visor module was loaded and I ran rmmod visor, before trying the usb: setting. If I have missed something glaringly obvious, please be gentle;-) Andrew Greig Melbourne, Australia
