Planner-list Tracking many small projects

Hello,

I am wondering if Planner would be a good tool for tracking many small projects. I generally have 50 to 100 projects in various stages but each only has 15-20 tasks and almost all follow the same format. All of these share resources. 

Will putting them into one project file (around 2000 tasks total) overwhelm the software?  Right now looking at planner in Ubuntu 11. 

Is there a way to break things into separate files and then bring them together for an overall view and resource planning?

Can data be exported/imported with CSV or some other standard file type?
