I replied to you but am not sure if you received the reply. The sample 
files are not true sample files, rather an html document. To fix the 
documents, change the extension from.planner to .html, then open in a 
browser window. You will then see the actual planner file beginning 
below html with <? xml version="1.0"> and ending with </project>

Copy this text into a new text file and name it kitchen.planner. Planner 
will now open this file correctly.
