The sample files are not true sample files, rather an html document. To fix the documents, change the extension from.planner to .html, then open in a browser window. You will then see the actual planner file beginning below html with <? xml version="1.0"> and ending with </project> Copy this text into a new text file and name it kitchen.planner.
