I hope you can find which one :-) It was the "long"-dash (the one in LaTeX coded as '--'), which caused this problem. But as well some other non-standard symbols like bevelled quotation marks and maybe many more. So if you copy/paste from a HTML document (e.g. abstracts of online databases) you have to screen the text for this non-standard characters. Thanks for the help. Now I know what I have to look for.
