Best thing would be to show the errors you get when trying to
incorporate parts of the init code of pybliographer in your own script.

This should certainly be doable: pyblio already handles @string on a
low-level. So, what you need is "simply" updating the user dictionary of
available strings with the ones read from a file, I think.
