I observed the following behaviour with 1.2.6 RC:

  The submenu of the File menu containing the recently
  opened files *disappears* sometimes, particularly after
  selecting from the Settings menu.  This seems however to
  occur only once, thereafter the selection does not seem to
  further affect the submenu.  The submenu reappears after
  opening a file via the Open menu/toolbar/keyboard action.

I have no idea what could result in such a behaviour and
would like to know whether it happens elsewhere a well.
