Hi, Let me know supporting encode other than latin-1. My examination in Japanese environment resulted that pybliographer as CUI could display Japanese, but pybliographic as GUI could neither display nor input Japanese with error message "non-latin1". Article concerning Japanese was found in the archive of this ml. It dated 2000-07-18. |> One more question: Are double bite characters supported? For example Japanese? | | Nope, not for the moment. Currently, the internal strings are expected | to be in latin-1 encoding. Nevertheless, support for unicode is coming | up, both in Python and in Gtk (the graphical widget). So there is | hope ! But you"ll have to wait for these two prerequisite. What is the present situation? ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IntelliVIEW -- Interactive Reporting Tool for open source databases.
