Hi,

this is a pybliographer feature idea. I am not sure whether this is the appropriate
list...

While there exists no global standard for journal abbreviations, ISI seems
to have its own standard. An extensive list of ISI journal names with corresponding
abbreviations is at
http://library.caltech.edu/reference/abbreviations/
I haven't found this list at the ISI site, though.

It would be very cool to have a feature in pybliographer that can scan any database for
the journal names and (semi-)automatically retrieve the corresponding abbreviation
(or the other way around) from the above list so that one could easily choose which
one to use, depending on the requirements of the document being written.

In addition, it would be great to have automatic correction of all-uppercase journal
titles.

What do you think?

Cheers, Nils
