Mmm, I'm uncertain as how we might introduce that cleanly in 1.2. Is
there an include statement in BibTeX?

In 1.3 : in fine, we should be able to store the journal as a separate
object that is referred by the bibliographic record. This journal
could then have both variants, and we could even share this autority
database somehow (and it seems to be something that is really
missing!)

Having the raw data would be already a good starting point, for sure.
