I'd love to see a feature like that in pybliographer!

Before using pybliographer, I had used Bibliographix, a commercial
product. They have a keyword search that used to behave like the
subgroup tree you are suggesting in older versions of Bibliographix. See
<http://www.winload.de/bilder/screenshots/47365/Bibliographix.gif> for
an example. They changed the look of that feature in newer versions, but
I don't find that as intuitive as the old way, see
<http://www.bibliographix.com/jpg/ideen/ideen_suche.jpg>.

The idea behind that is brilliant, so I'd like to share it with you, and
you can think if it is worth being implemented in pybliographer.

The idea is that you add keywords to your entries. But they don't have a
static hierarcy. So instead of having a group "optics" and two keywords
"fiber" and "free space" inside this group, you can just tag you entries
with the keywords, e.g., "optics, fiber", "optics, free space" or
"optics, fiber, free space". In the left panel, you have a flat list
with all keywords. When you choose one of them, an ad hoc tree is built
of all keywords that are found in conjunction with the selected.

An example: You select "optics" on the left panel. On the right, all
entries that have the keyword "optics" are shown. In the left panel, a
tree is generated that has "optics" as its root and "fiber" and "free
space" as children, because there are entries that have this
combination. Now you can select one of the children, e.g. "free space",
and it would show a child "fibre", because there is an entry that has
all three keywords. But you could build a completely different tree,
maybe starting from "fiber".

To make use of the keywords, there should be a list with all existing
keywords in the edit dialog, so users can easily add them to their
entries, but also use new keywords that are automatically added to the
keyword list.

Sorry for the long posting, but maybe you like that idea.
