Default GNOME Printer?

Hello,

I am trying to figure out how to set the "Generic Postscript" printer 
as the default (not CUPS) here with GNOME 2.6; I have been looking at 
modifying libgnomeprint, but I thought there maybe a better way. I have 
built Gnome "printman" 0.0.2 but it just draws a blank GUI.

Any and all help is appreciated.
