Yeah, sigh... I realized.

The problem is that without either gob2 or vala, there is no friendly
method of writing pure Gtk widgets in C. And without a C only widget, there
is no support for multi-language bindings, native speed, etc.

How well. I guess I'll continue patching the Gob2 output for the time being.
