Change .page, see result

I would like to know how I can see the result of the changes I make to a 
.page file in the branch downloaded to my local PC. I see Makefile.am; 
should I excecute this: sudo 
/gnome-getting-started-docs/gnome-help/Makefile.am. And how can I make 
the result visible?

Are there any instructions like we see here (Building html version of 
the docs):
