relocating GARCHIVEDIR -- solved

Hi list, Sometimes just asking a dumb question brings up the answer. I was making the mistake of unpacking garnome in the user's home directory, /home/gnome, instead of the desired destination, /pub/gnome. Looks like I don't have to relocate the archive dir after all.
