Thanks for your comments, Stefan.

I finally processed the backlogged moderation posts, rejecting with a
verbose note, and answering the questions where possible.

Also, I will keep it at a pretty strict subscription required basis. The
bad thing about approving posts is, that replies likely won't reach the
sender anyway. (The fact that message has been approved by a moderator
is not obvious to other list members.)

In fact, reading, sorting, approving, and instantly replying with some
notes about non-subscribed are the lions share of this work. I do hope
that by rejecting with an informative note and the sender re-posting
after subscription, this will work out more smoothly and faster. :)
