Yiannis, Adding external application dependencies to GARNOME is an inexact science. In theory GARNOME should not provide *any* external dependencies that are not easily available elsewhere. In practice we do. The problem with providing a dependency is that it must be maintained. One project on the horizon for 2007 is a reorganization of the layout and content of GARNOME.
