Creating a Document in Fragments

Hello, I've just started using GDOME2, so here's a newbie question. My
application receives a file on stdin. If it is a valid xml document I want
to process it using GDOME2. If it is not a valid xml document, I want to
fall back on processing it as plain text. From my reading of the source
code for GDOME2, it looks like that if I want to use
CreateDocumentFromMemory I will have to read in the entire document.  Is
this the case, or is it possible to read in a large document in chunks of
say 8192 bytes?
