where can I get gudev?

I'm trying to build network-manager 1.0 and it complains during configure:

configure: error: Package requirements (gudev-1.0 >= 165) were not met:

No package 'gudev-1.0' found

I cound't find where to download this package?  The sourceforge page
doesn't seem
to have any files.
