caching of failed thumbnails.

Hi. Is it possible to disable caching of failed thumbnails (I have no
problem editing something and recompiling)?

My computer is fast enough so failed retries every time I browse to a
folder containing files that will fail cause negligible overhead. I
would rather instead not clutter the disk cached fails.
