[glade--]gnome-config not found

I am working on solaris 2.8 OS.  I am using glade ver. 1.1.2 and the GNOME
2.0 desktop.
I have built a GUI app using glade.  I selected the C++ build option in
glade.  glade-- built all of my source
files for me.  

I now run autogen.sh and I get the message "gnome-config:  not found".
Where is gnome-config found
and why didn't it get installed when I installed the GNOME desktop?
