libgdamm 1.3.7 fails configure

I have glibmm 2.7.2 and libgda 1.3.91 installed and this is what I am
getting when running configure.

checking pkg-config is at least version 0.9.0... yes
checking for LIBGDAMM_CFLAGS...
checking for LIBGDAMM_LIBS...
configure: error: Package requirements (glibmm-2.4 >=3D 2.4.0 libgda >=3D
1.1.4) were not met.
Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively you may set the LIBGDAMM_CFLAGS and LIBGDAMM_LIBS
environment variables
to avoid the need to call pkg-config.  See the pkg-config man page for
