Creating contact groups?

I was talking to a friend of mine the other night and we got into how
insanely great Gossip is, however we discovered that it does not seem
that you can create new groups. I can't remember if you ever could do
that in Gossip but it would be a nice addition to get a bit of control
of your buddies.
