It is currently all merged into the trunk (HEAD) version of Gossip and is enabled with "--enable-telepathy". The way I would do it is to start off with using Loudmouth as the Loudmouth backend adds less to the stack and the Gossip Loudmouth backend is far more stable the the Telepathy backend. This way you will run into less problems with the backend and can focus your efforts on the UI bits. After you have that in place it should be as simple as to rebuild against the Telepathy backend.
