My experience is that you would probably want to make quite a different UI for Gossip on the N800 and it is likely that a part from possibly the chat view you would end up rewriting the entire UI layer (ie. write something on top of libgossip). If so we could look at a solution having the n800 ui in it's own directory and share some files between both frontends. If you describe a bit more on how far you planned to take the port (ie. just a quick port to get it running or to actually develop a custom UI for it on the device) it will be easier to get a clear view on the best approach.
