Unfortunately we haven't implemented "invisible" support in Gossip yet,
it is something that has been asked for on a number of occasions.

The UI needs to have support for this and of course, that needs to
filter down to the backend supporting it. I am pretty sure Telepathy has
support for this, it is just a case of adding the user interface in
Gossip for it.
