Yes, the "Using derived widgets" section should be updated. If you want 
to do it, please do. Otherwise I'll do it, but not today and perhaps not 
tomorrow.

I'm inclined to classify it as a new feature that will have to wait to a 
stable glibmm 2.62 version. But it's possible that will change my mind. 
I suppose there is not much hope for a comment from Murray Cumming these 
days.
