Hi all, The registration site currently has some design issues. I know that time is short, so I don't want to nitpick too much, but it would be good to try and make some improvements if possible. Issues - Horizontal alignment is off in a number of places - the menu items, skyline graphic, section headings are not aligned - Too many font sizes and styles - Not enough vertical spacing between sections throughout, in particular below the hero text and between sections on the main "management" page - It's not really clear what the main menu items are for, other than log out. The first one takes you to a different website. - The button icons are duplicated in places. The icons rarely help to identify an action. - "Current registrations" is more of an admin feature - it doesn't fit in for regular attendees. - There's a general model of having to navigate to pages to find information, rather than it being placed on the main page. Sometimes this leads to dead ends - "view your submitted talks" is shown whether you've submitted talks or not. Same with "view accepted talks". - The footer probably contains too many items. Here are some mockups that try to address these issues (they also include the proposals I drew up for the registration form last week): https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5031519/guadec2017/registration-website.png I'd like to stress that these have been thrown together very quickly, and just try to address the issues I've outlined above. I'm sure someone could do a better job. Thanks, Allan _______________________________________________ guadec-list mailing list [email protected] https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/guadec-list
