Hello,

I got a lock file problem on my Linux box and wonder
if you can help me out. The relevant info is:

    * Exact error messages from any applications.
Every time when I login, a bunch of programs start
running. If I logout
and login back again, the same set of programs run
again.

    * Exact version of GConf 1 and GConf 2 that you
have installed.
GConf-1.0.9-6
GConf2-1.2.1-3

    * Output of ps jaxwww | grep gconf.
1 15496 13657 13657 ? -1 S 502 0:00
/usr/libexec/gconfd-2 10

    * Output of gconf-sanity-check-1 or
gconf-sanity-check-2 if any.
[no output from gconf-sanity-check-1]
gconf-sanity-check-2: Command not found.

    * What operating system are you using, and what
version of it.
Redhat Linux 8.0, kernal version 2.4.20-28.8

    * What appears in the user.* syslog (see above for
how to turn on
     user.* syslog).
