recreation of defaults database question

hello

i have a, hopefully simple, question for you gconf wizs.

is it possible to recreate a complete /etc/gconf/gconf.xml.defaults/
database with reinstalling all the .schemas stored
in /etc/gconf/schemas/ ?

maybe with something like
gconftool-2 --makefile-install-rule /etc/gconf/schemas/*
?
