Scaling SVG images

Hi,
I have one doubt related to the dynamic scaling of SVG images.
Using SVG images i have created an icon.
Now suppose dynamically the icon size is changing.
Then how does this dynamic scaling is done in librsvg library.
There is a way of handling this issue. Always load an image in GdkPixbuf with the new size using
"rsvg_pixbuf_from_file_at_size". But this is ofcourse inefficient.
So what is the other way of doing this without actually loading image again and again ?
