xml-i18n-tools is the old list.  intltool has a new list on
freedesktop.org servers now:

  http://freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/intltool

To check intltool out by anonymous CVS, you should use any of Gnome
anonymous CVS servers:

  http://developer.gnome.org/tools/cvs.html

It mentions only anoncvs.gnome.org as anonymous CVS server.

Doing the following should be enough:
  cvs -d:pserver:[email protected]:/cvs/gnome co intltool
