JHBuild an non-srcdir builds of multiple packages in the same git repository

Hi,

I am using JHBuild to automate building of the data analysis software for the LIGO experiment (http://www.ligo.org), which I am working on for my PhD thesis. I am maintaining a collection of JHBuild modulesets for building the LIGO software stack and also other open-soruce science and astronomy packages that I use (http://lpsinger.github.io/modulesets/).

The LIGO data analysis software consists of several autotools-based packages all in one git repository (http://www.lsc-group.phys.uwm.edu/cgit/lalsuite/tree/). Unfortunately, JHBuild does not support out-of-srcdir builds when multiple packages live in the same repository.

I opened a bug report to fix this (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=689472). It has a patch. It's been open for over five months now and has not gotten any feedback. The patch still rebases cleanly against master. Could someone please take a look at it?

Thanks,
Leo Singer
