Do I need libgdi+ for Mono 4.0.X?

On  this page <http://www.mono-project.com/docs/gui/libgdiplus/>   it says
that new versions of libgdiplus are released with almost every new version
of Mono. However, I checked  here
<http://download.mono-project.com/sources/libgdiplus/>   and it seems like
the last version of libgdiplus released was for Mono 3.12. Does this mean I
don't need libgdiplus for Mono 4.0.X, or does it mean that doing stuff with
System.Drawing won't work?
