app.config error en monodevelop

Hola,
agrege a mi proyecto un archivo normal app.config.
y al construir el compilador me da error

[Task:File=/home/alexis/Proyectos/MonoHattrick/Login/app.config, Line=1,
Column=2, Type=Error, Priority=Normal, Description=Parsing error(CS8025)]

alguna sugerencia??

a estoy con mandriva 2008.1.
monodevelop 1.0
mono 1.2.6
