Reenvio: cual es el bashrc correcto en linux?

Deseo compilar la version 2.6.1 de mono y monodevelop2.2 (en parte ya lo
he hecho). Los .cil actuales no deseo borrarlos. Encuentro algunas
dificultades y creo que es por el bashrc que actualmente aplico. Mi
compilación la realizo con --prefix=/usr/local. Actualmente uso ubuntu
9.10 pero tengo otro montaje con ubuntu 8.04 (larga vida). Hay muchas
versiones sobre el bashrc. Agradecería me informaran cual es el bashrc
correcto o mas actualizado. Nota utilizo el gnome-sharp-2.24.1
