The whole profiles could also be a gstreamer utility library. Sooner or later we
need them for video too. I also would like to make use of the codec install gst
feature - show profiles where codecs are missing grayed and allow the user to
fetch the missing codecs with the codec install.

In http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=396779 we're also discussing some
extra meta flags for gst components. Marking editable properties would help to
generate a UI to only shows those the user wants to change.
