Hi

I have attached a picture how it could look like

the shell has on the left side the apps, in the middle the application
or windows and on the right side the workspaces.

on the top of the middle you can choose windows or applications

in the nautilus shell you could have also a button for places which
activates the nautilus view

then there would be the folders on the right side. partitions,
folderbookmarks and also grey folders, which can be placed there with
drag and drop from the middle and stay there till you press an refresh
button.
on the right side you could see small scaled the whole folder content. A
frame indicates the area you see in the middle.
In the middle you have the normal folder content, which you can handle
like always: rename, sort, etc.
If you mark one or more, you could drag and drop it in an other folder
on the left side.

Thanks
