Yes, I was aware of the many bugs reported about it, but I didn't find
in the bugs discussions any expression of the developers intentions
about them, that's why I wrote to the list: to see if some debate could
be raised around it.

For instance: I think that maybe the GCancellable interface could be
extended to GControllable (which should implement GCancellable,
GPausable and so on), and then the GFile->copy_async method should check
not only if it was cancelled but also the other possible conditions
implemented by the GControllable.
