Have a look at
https://git.gnome.org/browse/gvfs/plain/monitor/udisks2/what-is-shown.txt

The x-gvfs-show/x-gvfs-hide fstab option is what you're looking for. By
default, mounts in /mnt are hidden, mounts in /media, homedir
and /run/media are shown.
