Add items to file context menu from GNOME shell extension

I would like to add a menu item to the context menu that appears when you
right-click a file in GNOME Files (nautilus). This should be triggered when
installing a GNOME shell extension.

What are my options?

Install a script in ~/.local/share/nautilus/scripts?

Other options?
