You can also use the scripts folder for more specific tooling. > Before this version, only by installing .desktop launchers that associate MIME types, user had more direct actions in context submenu "Open with...". That should still work, there is no submenu but the app chooser should show your applications. Alternatively you can right click the file -> properties -> open with and select the application you would like to use by default, it should show those applications you added too.
