OAF 0.6.10 test cases

I'm trying to use OAF 0.6.10 on a Gentoo 2006.0 system with
Gnome 2.12.2 and ORBit2 2.12.4.  OAF compiles after a certain
amount of bodgery, and seems to run (that is, it doesn't actually
segfault...).  However, the test cases (oaf-test-async and
oaf-test-client running against oaf-test-server) fail with some
form of "could not get Activation Context" complaint; test-async
is supposed to do this twice, but not four times.

There's no documentation with the test cases; does anyone have any
tips on the correct location of the OAF and ORBit2 configuration
files, or the correct arguments to oafd or the test programs?
