evolution crashes on start up

Greetings,

I just installed evolution-1.4.4 on FreeBSD 4.8 running gnome2-2.2.2 and
evolution will only display its splash screen then crash with the error:

I've search the web for answers and only found one other posting similar
to my problem, but no answers.  If you'd like I can provide a ls output of
/var/db/pkg.
